I’m trying to find ways to copy paste sections of a subtool from a selection of polys, for example windows in a wall but in the subtool itself as I want to weld the verts immediately of the copy in another location of the same subtool.
The only features I know to duplicate geometry are
· Use ctrl with transposer, that is not what I want as it would copy the full subtool
· Qmesh and ctrl, that does exactly what I need but with the problem that the duplicate element must be pulled away of the geometry. Because I want to copy windows I need to keep the alignment with the surface. The only workaround is to pull out and then realign manually and it is difficult to align 2d elements as they disappear from the display when seem laterally. Is there any easier way that I’m missing? It would allow an easy modular system.
