Cool new game dev tool

Hi. I found this company working on a very cool artist centric game dev tool through a thread on cgtalk.com.

It reminded me of ZBrush in that it takes a fresh step in its approach - not just making another modeler, or animator etc but really stepping out new directions. Add that to the fact that it is supposed to be artist friendly and I’ve added it to my wish list along with ZBrush.

I figure this post is ok since they seem to be two different product types but the innovation really reminded me of what ZBrush has done.

You can post what ever you like in the Community Forum, in theory at least.

That looks like a really cool product, but I bet they want to charge a ton for it when it comes out. We’ll see.

Thanks for sharing!

I’m guessing you are right about the eventual cost but you never know; ZBrush is a real powerhouse for the money so who can say -at least that’s the logic us paupers use.

Thanks for the compliments!

In the near-term, the full GameProcessor product will compete on the level of AAA graphics engines.

The eventual goal is to release free versions for students/hobbyists to experiment with.

Does that help? Please let me know if you have any other questions…

Very interesting. Thanks

Ha ha, they use the “AAA” term a lot.

I consider AAA graphic engines like Renderware, that has a licensing cost around 500,000$ depending on how you license it!
