Hi all,

This is my first post in Zbrushcentral. I visit this website almost everyday and i think its time for me to start my sketchbook. Have been doing some anatomy study over the past few days. Would be grateful to receive any comments and feedback about my work as it will help me improve my skills. Thanks

Welcome Cookie_

Looking good, very nice start.
You’ve grasped a lot of the subtle detail in the body. There are some areas that deserve a second look, like the calfs and the lats. And maybe hands and feet :p… hehe.

Some small proportional issues like the gluteus and sternocleidomastoid.

But yeah, try comparing with some more reference, and I think it’s gonna turn out really awesome!

A very good start, looking forward to seeing more

Really good, I like the presentation as well :+1: . Possibly give some more consideration to the transitional area between the legs and the torso.

@ MjTheHunter - Thanks for the positive feedback. Agree with the lack of detail in calf/lat muscles since sculpting them was real pain, due to lack of (decent)references. Though will make the changes during my next update.

@ Nichollya - Thanks for the appreciation and also for pointing out the area which needs more attention :). Also, might add striations to the muscles during the coming week which I guess would help to make it look better

The base mesh was made using Z Spheres. The clay tubes and move brush helped to built the muscular form. To give the model a smooth surface without destroying the mass, clay brush and Trim dynamic brush were used.

nice. love the shapes.

really nice anatomy u got thier in my opinion u should work on the gesture other wise the anatomy is great secondly what material did u used in your first pic…???

Hi everyone

I had been working on this character based on the concept of a pirate from the game Lineage 2, which I came across while looking for some inspirational concepts. The goal or the reason to start this project was to develop my sculpting skills and try to make a detailed and presentable character.

The base mesh was created using Maya (pretty low poly) and I also tried my hand on the zb4 shadow box feature to create the belt buckle which otherwise would have taken more time to create it in maya.

I gave this character roughly to month alongside also did some anatomy study(previous post). Here is a high res picture rendered in Zb4.
Let me know what you guys think about it!!

Cheers,
Cookie.

GOOD WORK DONE ON THE DETAILS:+1:

Cookie_ you have done a really good job really liked your detailing keep it up !!!
the only thing thats distracting me is his coat from behind where its tear off it looks like stiff…

thnx saqib. I think the coat is suppose to be flying like that. Basically, I stuck to the concept. And the answer to your previous question regarding matcaps, I found most of them in the pixologic library. hope that helps

Cheers

Hello,

Here’s a head study which was made in Zbrush using a Sphere. Also tried my hand on the spotlight feature for texturing the head. The texture was downloaded from 3d.sk. However, the face is made without the use of any reference. I also added some quick hair on the head to give it some life.
Let me know wat you think.

Cheers.
