Converse Shoe, help with seam brush problem!

Hello everyone.

Im kinda new with Zbrush and currently trying to do some seams on a Converse Shoe but im having problems with the seams.
I have a brush for that and its working great exept from one place where the quality gets terrible.

Il show you with a picture, i cant see anything wrong with my model so i cant understand whats wrong.
I hope that someone can help me.

The model is made in 3ds max and i used goz to jump over to zbrush.

Best Regards
Hallgren

It looks like your mesh resolution in that area is lower than in the other areas.
Can you post up an image of the wires?

Yes, I see what you mean. With due regard, couldn’t you make a black and white image of the kind of seam you want, load that up in Zbrush using the Alpha tab and then use Zsub or Zadd to make the seam, or create an Insert Multi Mesh curved brush to do what you want?

What’s your current subdivision level you’re using? You may want to try hitting Geometry HD and SculptHD too.

Hi guys and thank you for the replies.

You were correct, it was my model being too low in detail there.
I increased the edges in the model before putting on a turbo smooth and voila! Much better

Thanks!

Another question, if i would like to make the seams for example a different group/polygroup from the shoe so its easier for me to render it later in Keyshot with different materials.

Whats the easiest solution for that?

Thank you
