controlling which textures are baked into the same map?

Hi,

If you have a model with several subtools, can you specify somehow for some of them to share the same texture sheet?

select the subtool.

tool>texture>select the texture you’d like on that subtool. (big empty button)

repeat for each subtool.

I think I phrased the question badly.

What I meant was, when I polypaint the subtools, can I then force them to share the same texture. There’s the “new from polypaint”-button, but I don’t want a separate texture sheet for each subtool.

For example, suppose I have simple game prop, originally modeled in Max and in when brought to ZBrush, it consists of a few subtools. While they are separate objects, I’d like the entire thing to have just one 2k texture sheet, when it’s finished.

you have to do a bake for each object and then comp them together post to make a single sheet. Zbrush can’t do this during baking.
