Connection between zbrush and 3dsmax

Hello everyone, I have a problem. I’ve created a base mesh for my character in 3dsmax, then I put it into Zbrush 3.5, sculpt it there, and then I want to add some details in 3ds max like nails and teeth. But when I put my model back in MAX it has different scale and position. I’ve read the FAQ and it says that Zbrush has it’s own scale and position system and it doesn’t store that information. But I am asking just to make sure. For example, in Mudbox I can throw my model back and forth to MAX than to Mudbox, multiple times, and it’s always the same scale in position. Is there no way I could do the same thing in Zbrush? Thanks in advance.

When you import from Max, ZBrush scales the model internally to fit ZBrush’s system. When you export, that scaling is reversed.

Make sure that the values in the Tool>Export menu are not set to “nan”. Typically, Scale should be 1 and the Offset sliders should be at 0.

Aurick thank you very much, that solved the problem! But looks like that scale should not be 1, for example if you import a 200x200x300 box, it’s scale would be 150, the longest dimension divided by 2. And in doesn’t matter what scale was in MAX, was it 100% or not, only the dimensions of the object.
