I’ve been playing around in Zbrush for quite a while now, but some there’s something seemingly basic that I’m still trying to work out. I can’t really wrap my head around the best way to compose a full scene in zbrush. Let’s say I want to create a scene with a realistic sense of space/perspective (i.e. no 2.5d trickery apparent) with a character and a fairly detailed room around him/her…The technique that I’ve come up with so far is to hold shift when I move my camera around and lock it into the “front” view, then move and rotate my objects around to loosely compose my scene, and design the layout/composition with that view in mind, knowing that I can always relatively easily return to that view…it just starts to get a little cumbersome if I want to go in and work on an object that’s so far out of the unified space, or if I want to keep my character in multiple subtools and still have the freedom to move it around the scene.
I guess what I’m asking is, is it feasible to create a scene such as http://features.cgsociety.org/newgallerycrits/g90/490090/490090_1346230919_large.jpg
or

entirely in zbrush? or am I making things harder on myself by not making single objects in zbrush and transferring them out to a more “scene-oriented” 3d app?
Thanks for your time and attention!
Eric
