Config Bugs/Niggles?

I’m loving exploring the new features of ZBrush 4 & really have to Salute all the Team at Pixologic for an excellent product & commitment to expand an already brilliant application but I do have a few minor niggles ;p

Config Issue:-
Having set Lightbox to NOT appear on startup & selecting ZSphere rather than the Simple Brush as the loaded tool I set CONFIG - doesn’t matter if I use the button or the shortcut the next time I startup ZBrush it opens up Lightbox & the Simple Brush is the current tool.
The odd thing is that in the Preference Menu the option for Lightbox to appear or not is still greyed out?
If there is a fix for this then maybe this can also be resolved - not specific to Z4 - even in versions where I manage to store CONFIG how I like for startup the Preferences/Performance/MultiDraw always reverts to an ON state ;(

While these are Minor Bugs I do feel they’re worth a mention as I feel they grind against the whole idea of ZBrush creating an intuitive canvas for the mind to explore & create.
Being able to leave ZBrush set to a CONFIG means not only less clicks at the start but the ability to dive straight into the creative process - not having to remember to close down or turn off a set of options before you get going.

I hope there is or will be a fix for these minor issues…

I expect this issue will be addressed in a point update. In the meantime this method will mean that Lightbox does not open on start up:

  1. Locate the DefaultZScript.txt file in the ZBrush 4.0\ZScripts folder.
  2. Open the file in Notepad (or the Mac equivalent).
  3. Edit the file so it looks like this:

[If,1,[IPress,Preferences:Lightbox:Lightbox]]

[pd]

  1. Save the file.
  2. Restart ZBrush.

Lightbox will probably appear briefly but will not stay open. You can open it any time by using the comma (,) key.

Thanks again Marcus for this fix - any idea if the other Bugs/Niggles I raised will be adressed any time in the future?
