First sculpt ever in ZBrush 4 and I am calling this one a wrap!! About 2 hours spent on it (about 4 hours total if you include the time spent staring at it endlessly wondering what else can be added ) but for now I will call it quits in order to move on, if I get good crits on anything that can make it a better sclupt, Ill be more than happy to challenge myself.

Wanted to familiarize myself with the tools and brushes. I wanted to go from sculpting to texturing and coloring. Please critique. All insight would be helpful.

I see amazing work on here and i know this is small in comparison, but its all about knowing how i have started off with this amazing application. Thanks!

Wow… i dont think you will be getting any critiques today “Morgan Freeworm”…

No critique, just praise here.
Love the texture work!

Going to try some expressions on him/her/it?

Hey! good going man :D.I think big green eyes were doing icing on the cake. What u think. lets try it. No critics. Bye and take care. :+1:

Thanks for the praise, I am totally new at this so that means a lot, for my first model. I’m guessing I might try expressions if I got back to him… im really psyched about learning this app, so Im trying a humanoid form next in order to challenge my skills even further… but I will take what you have said into consideration. Thanks for commenting.

Thanks for the thumbs up with my humble beginnings, when i first started the sculpt, It was and still is a worm. I know, I know… sigh, i made it something completely different by texturing and adding the blue skin, but as we all know. Worms are blind and that was the reason why he technically has placing for eyes, yet no eyes… but i my next figure will definitely have eyes…

thanks for commenting…

Haha, Morgan is cool, keep it up! :+1:

Santis my good man… thank you for the words of encouragement… he kinda does look like morgan freidman…ha!

Hey darkdevinci,

Thanks for your comments in my thread!

You asked me how to start a “sketchbook” :
That’s real easy : you just start a new thread in the “ZBrush Main Forum” like you did with this one, give it a name, and every time you want to display something you just add a new post to that same thread and upload your images to it.

To have a link to that thread, you can edit your signature in the “User Options” on the top of the webpage.
Just add a link to your thread in your signature, so that when you post in other threads, there will be a link to yours in the signature.

So if you want to, you can make this thread your “sketchbook”.
But in that case I would change the name of the thread, and if you can’t then just start a new thread called “darkdevinci’s sketches” or something …

Hope this helps, happy ZBrushing!

Posted my reply on my your thread… thanks a mill… i was able to find out how after playing around with the sig, and linking back my first completed sculpt which is this post… thanks a mill for the knowledge yet and still
