Hello! I have struggled with a certain issue with Zbrush ever since I switched computers, and it is starting to get very annoying. Hopefully, someone here will be able to help me.
I bought a new computer. Mac Mini Late 2012, 4000 Graphics Card, 2.6 Ghz, 1TB Fusion Dr, 16 GB of RAM.
My old computer was Macbook Pro Early 2011. Basically, my new computer excels my old one in every category. However, ever since I reinstalled zbrush on my new computer I started experiencing strange issues.
Commands like shift, alt, command, control, etc… are mixed up with the previous command almost every time.
For example, I am using a standard brush. I switch to Smooth by pressing SHIFT, but it is still using the standard brush. I must now click on the blank surface, then click SHIFT again. Now it switches to Smooth brush. Then I let go, but it does not automatically switch back to standard brush. It’s still in SHIFT mode. I click ALT to mask, but it is still smoothing instead. I drag on empty canvas, but now it’s masking instead. And etc. This does not happen EVERY time, but at least once in 5 commands. I have no idea what is causing that, and there are no solutions on google that I found useful.
There is also a lag when rotating the model. Weird, because I have a better graphics card on my new computer than on my previous computer. None of these issues happened on my previous machine. Also, sometimes can’t select a specific brush.
I am guessing it’s either zbrush, or something else on my new computer that is counteracting with zscript.
I have a wacom tablet, but the issues occur even when I am not using the tablet. I noticed a couple of times a similar issue happen in Photoshop as well.
I don’t expect anyone to know a solution, but possibly someone on here knows where the issue might be coming from and who I should contact regarding this issue.
Thank you!!
