I want to be able to work on the same base mesh by two people separately, then combine the sculpts that are done in those layers together. I tried “project all” after appending subtools but at subdiv 4 things blew up. Suggestions on how to do this? Thank you.
have each person export their higest level as a obj, then with the base tool divided to the same poly count, create a layer and import one of the objs, turn off the layer and do again with the second obj. do blending by using morph targets and the morph brush.
So far this seems to work very well, thank you. However, just to be thorough…will a series of imports like this, transferring layers drastically affect file size or general mesh properties? I’ve done a test, and yes, doing a layer transfer like this does create a larger overall file, more than just adding another layer. Any suggestions on how to keep this in check if I want to do this many times?
