Combine two Meshes Thread Nr. 258124: Without exploding small details?

Hello everybody,

I’m sculpting a Body Statue, but in Parts. Now I want to combine them to one Mesh, to make the surface smooth and fluid between the parts, for example, the legs and where they should be connected to the body.

I tried Remesh All and then Project All. Unfortunately, on very small details like the fingers and toes I have crazy/exploded polygons.

Is there a workaround for that? I would be completely satisfied if the two meshes would be combined with triangles and other unnice things (like partial subdivide), if just my sculpt would hold.

Thanks for all suggestions,

Richard

Next to the Project All button there are a number of modifiers to fine-tune the results. However, different parts of complex meshes need different modifiers to get the best results.

This is easily accomplished by undoing your projection, masking off the problem areas, then reprojecting. Now invert the mask, change the modifiers and project again. Any time you get a poor result, just undo and make some adjustments before trying again.

Thank you very much! :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:
