Combine two 3d scanned models and polypaint

Hello Zbrush community,

I am a quite new to Zbrush but I think this app could help me accomplish such task. I have two scanned models of a bag, and I need to combine top and bottom meshes into one. So digging Internet I have found that I need to do such things.

  1. Cut top and bottom models from trash information, such as floor and other objects (Done)
  2. Export models in Zbrush as .obj files (Done)
  3. Open both meshes in Zbrush and create them as subtools and make in one project (Done)
  4. Merge Top and Down subtools in one and make Dynamesh (Done)
  5. Clean up seams between top and down meshes using smooth brush (Done)
And here I have a problem, I have two textures of scanned mesh, and I need to project those textures on my merged mesh, what should I do next?

1.1 Convert subtool to Polymesh3d and use Spotlight and project my texture?
1.2 Should I prepare Polymesh3d, such as divide it in order to get more detailed projected texture?
1.3 What is pipeline of projecting texture on mesh with the best quality
1.4 Is it possible after painting my original mesh, transfer all information with textures and UV maps to duplicated mesh but with lowered polycount?

Any tutorial would be appreciated, I need to finish 3d scanned model. If there some tutorial that covers similar task, please please please let me know.

With all respect
Wozner

Also I wanted to ask about polypainting. I have merged mesh on which I need to project my texture. How to prepare model for painting and exporting it with UV’s and texture, by the way my current mesh does not have UV, is it better to unwrap it in 3ds max and then paint on it, or use some sort of autounwrapp in zbrush?
