Color Palette

Hi ZBrushers,
no more Color selection problem!!
With the following ZScript you have a good choice of colors.
ColorPalette: ColorSGI.TXT

based on a compilation of Steve Hollasch and Pixolator TextureMaster ZScript (Palette Manager).

ColorSGI:ColorPalette.TXT

based on SGI X Windows Default Color Palette.

Resolution: 1280x1024. Sorry, i don’t try these on 1024x768.
Please, report any error.
Hope you like this.

p.s. If you are interested i can develop a small program to do the color palette from a text file with the following format:
“Color_Name”,Red_Value,Green_Value,Blue_Value

bloody great idea and thank you very much.I havn’t tried it yet but when i do i’ll let you know how it went.
Does it work in the demo?

Good work Cameyo!! Tnx for sharing !!! Your work are very useful for the forum !!!

Thanks for your work on this one. :+1: :+1:

Thanks for sharing this! It can come in very handy. Just a note to those of you who are unaware of it but you can creat color swatches while working in ZBrush. What I do is create another layer and paint large dabs of paint on it. That way I have all the colors I used recorded with my document. I just use the color picker to choose the color I want from the swatches. Sometimes I will smudge several of the colors together to get a color blend. When I am done I just deselect the layer and render the final document. When I save the doc the color swatch layer is saved with it and is available at a future date!

Edited: You could even export the swatch layer as a bmp or psd and use it in another ZBrush document.

Thank you Cameyo for truly handy scripts. Excellent additions to my default script!

Thank you Mentat for another great tip.

Thank you for the very useful scripts! (and for putting a “default” button on them as well)

Great scripts and great tips. Thanks! :+1:

Thanks Cameyo, The big color palette script and also your ModelTools script have been very useful to me. Now I would like to figure out how to link these two and TextureMaster together to become ultra streamlined

hey cameyo im having problems with the cgi long vesion…the boxes are not set correctly…

browns my favorite color in zbrush great for skin tone…
thank cameyo.
Zoid try this http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=004615
if you have any question just ask if you can’t figure out how to make it ill make it for ya if you want.
2 ways of doing it first have it all in the same tutorial veiw window or have a short cut to jump back and forth which isn’t to hard.
like when i load zbrush it goes to my Default .txt when i hit the number 1 it goes to my texture master when i hit 1 again it goes back to my default

Thanks EZ, I gave it a try and I couldn’t quite get it to work so check your private message box for my cry for help :frowning:

ok i read your message and ill show ya the first step and give me a few to finish up on your other part you ask.
it wont take to long.
first part any thing you want to be your (Default zscript) all you do here and here is a sample if i had cameyo modeling script which would be modeling.txt all you have to do is RE Name it to (DefaultZScript.txt) and go place it in your ZScript folder it will ask you to over write it so say Yes.
please make a back up copy of your DefaultZScript.txt before doing this and place it some were else…
be back in a bit to finish

make back up copys of DefaultZScript.txt and TextureMasterRevE go here :small_orange_diamond: 4zoid.zip you will see DefaultZScript.txt just copy that to your ZScript folder and over write it keep the same name.
you will see BOTTOMOFTEXTUREMASTER.txt you need to open that up and copy ALL text and go to your (TextureMasterRevE) and paste all that text at the END next to show and tell.
the file to big for me to upload it here but just place BOTTOMOFTEXTUREMASTER.txt thats in that zip paste the text at the END OF TextureMasterRevE.TXT the number 9 is you short cut i added it to both so you can switch back and forth.
i couldn’t use some other numbers do to what cameyo had in the zscript…
need any more help just ask :+1:
the default zoid ask was from cameyo modeling zscript http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=005374
then wanted to add the color pallete to the texture master with short cut keys to go back and forth to each one which is the number 9…
and was tested

Man you are quick! Thanks so much. It’s late for me now, so I will put it together tomorrow and let you know how it works :+1:

thanx cameyo and EZ, i know these will come in very handy. great works guys

has anybody figured out the alignment on the big color panel yet if so let me know ok…and if you dont get what i talking about you can look at ezs image to see boxes with the color below…

Thank you all.
Dr. jjwow: i have fixed the ZScript with the palette manager (ColorPalette.txt): ColorPalette2.TXT
I dont’ know about your disalignment of big palette…, but i think the monitor resolution is the problem: do you have 1024x768?
I have tried it only at 1280x1024.
But you can change the number of colors in a row !! Open the script and find the comment “// 70…”, this is the end of first line. Change the textfile to your needs.
The second row start at “// 140…” ecc.
Hope this helps.

After few days i’ll repost all my Zscripts with updates and bugs correction.

Happy ZWork.

cameyo

hey cameyo that script is the first pallette i needed the second color pallette fixed. if you look at ezs image on pg 1 youll notice that the bigger color pallette has boxes with the colors down below…my screen size is 1024x768 if this helps.

Well,
the last post on Color Palette…
