color palet ?

ok I have a question,I want to make a color palet for polypainting my scults inside zbrush 3.5 R3.What i need is a color palet from wich i can pick colors or change the colors in the color palet is there any practical solution for this exept filling back layer with color palet and making new layer to work on with
I’ll say it again I need it for polypainting Scults not for painting on the document (but I want to be able to change the colors on the palet at any time) can you help me ?

It is possible to do this through ZScripting. You could create switches of a desired size and whatever color you’d like, and clicking the switch would set the color to correspond. This is how I did it with the old Zketchpad plugin (now replaced by PaintStop).

After a quick test, a much easier way to do this would be to simply import your palette as a texture. You can then mouse over it in the Texture palette and press C to sample the color your pointer is over.

Or better yet, put it in the ZTextures folder in your ZBrush directory. You can now access it by clicking on Light Box and then the Textures link. This will give you a larger thumbnail from which to sample. You could even have a bunch of textures in there that are different parts of your color palette or even different palettes for different needs. All will be displayed at once in Light Box, so it doesn’t matter how you break them up.
