col > tex

I tried to search the forum but could not find what i was looking for.

For some reason my texture size changes.

So i setup a new texture size 4k, and switch the tex to col
Then paint asuming my texture size is the same
then when i hit col to tex, its only 1k.

I dont really understand how that happend. Any suggestions?

You need to go to your model’s highest Subdivision level first;

Creating a New Texture for the PolyPaint to use: Choose White as a texture base from the Color Palette; Be sure RGB is set to 100

Be aware that the ‘default’ resolution is 1024 x 1024:
Hit Texture New after first setting the tex new resolution
to 4096 x 4096 in the Texture Palette;

Then hit Col -> Tex The newly created texture will then appear in the Texture Palette; *Your PolyPainting will be 'hidden' temporarily by your New Texture,

but the painting is still there! Just not on the New(blank)Texture…
The model’s vertex-painted (PolyPainting) point-resolution gets transferred
into the New Texture’s pixels.)

Creating a PolyPainting on your model from painted Texture:

Go to highest Subdivision Level.

Be sure RGB is set to 100

Hit Tex -> Col

(Hit Texture Off in Texture Palette to check PolyPainting’s OK).

Hope it helps some :) Chris
