Coca-Cola Avatar Ogre

thats an awesome character :+1:

Congratulations for the work!
The Ogre is funny as design and rendering and the spot is awesome, I say more, it’s brave!

I’ve been in the same room while you did it but I am still amazed how cool he looks. It’s simply stunning, brilliant shaders, great model, great fine details… ARGH!!! Keep on being the G-R-E-A-T artist you are! :grimacing:

very cool! i like his presence in the composite and the pose from your first image.

Thanks for all the great comments!

Yeah I did write a post looking for artists, but nobody from ZBC wanted to
No worries, as I said we had a another big job on at the time so we all of our character artists were busy! We are always keen to meet new people anyway.

Darukin:
The chainmail was modelled flat, I then modelled some simple geometry in the correct shape, morphed it flat, then skin wrapped the chainmail to it and morphed the whole lot back into place. The simple geo then acted as a driver for the rig. Hope this helps?

MFG:
This was modelled in 3DS MAX and rendered in Vray. I managed to get displacement working after about 4 hours of scratching my head.

Evokelabs:
Becasue we had som many characters to get through most if them were only a week, or less for the more simple characters. The Ogre was the main character so he tok a little longer to get right, about 2 weeks.

This is an old version of the model, with legs, and another guy but with basic legs as you didnt ever see them, I modelled them for the animator to plant the feet properly.

Hi Fleety, congrats on Top Row! Definitely a 5 star sculpt, thanks for posting! :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: !

Great stuff, how many hours did it take you to complete it?

Such a beautiful piece of work! Amazing stuff… :+1: :+1:

amazing job :+1:

Hey…

very nice work…
cool ad too…

This took a couple of weeks worth of hard modelling and texturing, although it felt longer as I was working on other characters too. I was working alongside a great team at Nexus including Luis San-Juan (http://www.luis-sanjuan.com/), our resident character rigging genius and Mustashrik Mahbub, a very talented designer/illustrator, and all round nice guy (http://www.mustashrik.com/).

Once again, thanks for all the great comments.

Yeah thanks for the reply man, it helps, I appreciate! I usuallu model chains flat then tweak in Zbrush with move / transpose which is why it doesn’t come out too perfect, but now I’ll use this method instead =)

Once again, great job man! Love the overall feel of this model, and the first picture, the head with the texture / render is amazing. Keep it up!

I just checked out your great work, you certainly like modelling armour! Hope the chainmail works out!

very good wondful,i like it
