Cloner brush vexation

Hi All,

I have a question regarding cloning a texture in zbrush much like the clone tool in photoshop. Now I haven’t been a wimp & just asked I’ve done some research & found some answers but haven’t been able to get it to work.

OK so I have a ztool for which I have created a texture in photoshop, but there is the perennial problem of seams. Now I worked out how to use the projection master to paint over them & export the modified texture…but it is just flat colours & gave just an OK result. What I really want to do is use the texture already on the tool to sample & clone over the seams to get a much better result.

One post mentioned going to the clone tool when in projection master & ctrl clicking where you want to sample from & brush from there but when I tried this it still painted flat colour. Perhaps I’m missing something simple or perhaps barking like a mad dog up a crazy tree, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would just use Zapplink, if I am understanding your problem.

Hi beta_channel,

YES!!! you were spot on the money for that thank you very much indeed. I didn’t see any reference to this incredibly handy little app whilst I was searching…it’s absolutely fantastic & easy to use. Perhaps I was looking at threads for older versions that didn’t have it…or I’m a bit thick…probably the latter:o

Anyway thanks again that is very helpful.:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:
