Hello, I’m new to zbrush and I’ve been learning how to use the different brush in the program. I started learning about the Clipping brush tool and everytime I activate active symmetry then try to cut into the polymesh it messes the shape up. It some how compresses it into an oddly, disfigured shape; instead of cutting away the pieces of the shape.
That is how Clip brushes work, by compressing polygons down to the clipping plane. They are not “cutting away” polygons. If you want to use “cutting away” features of ZBrush, then you can try using Dynamesh with the SliceCurve brush. ZClassroom has a video on the SliceCurve brush here.
