Every time I use Clip brushes the mesh doesn’t get clipped it just seems to flatten the geometry around the area I masked for the cut. Any ideas? I left my settings visible if they help. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

As a side note the clip brushes are also not mirroring the actions despite symmetry being on and along the right axis.
