Clicking "Make Boolean Mesh" has no effect

Hello!

Does anybody see what might be wrong here?
I click “Make Boolean Mesh”, but nothing happens.

Thank you!

I don’t know what I did, but I started from scratch again, and now it works.

Now again, it doesn’t work.

Does anybody see any flaw in the screenshot that I posted?

Here is another screenshot.
When I click “Make Boolean Mesh”, it says “Union remeshing in progress”, and after some time it’s finished, but I don’t see any change.

When you click “Make Boolean Mesh” it puts a new mesh in the Tool palette with the prefix “UMesh_”. Append that to the Subtool palette.

Thanks, I noticed that, but I think the problem is also that it only works if there are no subtools in the subtool palette above the subtool that I want to remove parts from.

I’m getting the exact same problem. Whenever Zbrush 2018 is reinstalled and started up right after installation, the ‘make boolean mesh’ button works correctly with the u_mesh appearing as a tool. After closing and reopening the program, the ‘make boolean’ button returns to doing absolutely nothing: the progress bar at the top of the screen does not even show up.

This problem seems to be linked with Zscript - opening up Zbrush right after installation automatically brings up the homepage, and clicking ‘Default ZScript’ button at the top right of the screen operates correctly. The moment the program is closed and reopened, the button no longer works. I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled zbrush 3 times by this point and each time the program is closed, the functionality for the stated features just drop completely. Is there a call that just isn’t clicking? I’m using Windows 10 and clicking the application directly in the ‘Pixologic\ZBrush 2018’ folder to start the program.
