Clear skin?

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to do this? I’d prefer to do a clear skin on top of my existing model. I’d like to have it as a subtool also so i can edit it but not effect the model. Any help would totally rule! Thanks guys.

As far as I remember, transparency only works in zbrush while working on seperate layers unless they changed that and I missed it.

You make a new layer with the tool you want to be see-through on top. Then you assign it a material and in the material editor you give it a transparent property with the sliders, adjust it to reflect environment as well for even more realism.

Then you render it with best render, but make sure everything is still in layers, and you will be able to see through your transparent material to the stuff on the layers under it.

I’m not sure how that works with subtools though but I do know there is a layer function in the tools palette for 3d tools maybe play around with that as well.
