Clear Canvas not working

Hi all,
I’ve been having some times a problem where I not knowing how, put my tool on the 2.5D canvas. The problem is that I cannot clear it even if I do the CTRL+N as told on all tutorials and docs. What Am I doing wrong?

PC Specs:
windows 10, I7 3770k, 24GB ram

This is a known issue. Until it is fixed you can solve like this:

  1. First save your project using the Save As button in the File palette. This is so you have a back up in case something goes wrong.
  2. Now copy your model by pressing the Copy Tool button at the top of the Tool palette (on the right of the UI in your picture).
  3. Press the Lightbox button, top left of the UI, and from the Projects tab select the PolySphere.ZPR and double-click to open it.
  4. Press the Paste Tool button at the top of the Tool palette. This should paste your model into the new project and all should be well.
  5. Be sure to save the project with a new name.

Worked pretty well. Thank you so much.
The alternative, not so easy if you have lots of sub-tools is to export and import obj. in new file, but this way is way cleaner and easy. thank you once again.
