Clay Tubes brush not able to be selected

Hey! I’m sorry in advance, I’m new and I’ve scoured Google and haven’t found an answer to this issue.

I have no issue selecting/using any brush, except for the clay tubes. Every time I go to select it, the brush default to whatever I was using prior. What am I doing wrong here?

Nevermind, I solved it— I must’ve been holding Shift while I initially selected it (or something)---- because any time I tried to use smooth/shift, clay tubes would appear. So I just held down shift while selecting Smooth again from brushes and reassigned it appropriately. Now it works!

Yes, you can select the “Shift” brush like that - it doesn’t have to be a smoothing brush.
