I’ve not done any real sketching or just playing around in ZBrush for a very long time. Thought I’d take a break from Nitrate to make something quite random. I wanted to have a play with GoZ to see what I could come up with. It’s great that I can now just make arbitrary mesh edits in another app and it doesn’t cause the slightest distress in workflow. Here is the result.

Well, I’ve been a bit sidetracked but have got back on with this project. I decided her boots looked pretty awful so I’ve made a start on some better ones. C&Cs welcome as always :slight_smile:

Thanks Geert, but no can do I’m afraid. I’ve already been using it quite a bit so far. Do you think I just imported those boots in? Hell no. GoZ from ZBrush to Maya on the old ones, re-flowed edges and reshaped them, click, back to ZBrush for some sculpting, reshaping and positioning, click, back to Maya again to hard edge all the buckles and stuff, and click back to ZBrush to detail them. I will certainly be using it for all the other stuff so look away now! :smiley:

Oh, didnt see your update. Great work on the new shoes. I especially love the knee - plates...umm... sorry, dont know the proper name :D. Anyways – very well done, Captain. :slight_smile:

Moni, thank you! I’d call them knee pads I guess, although they have metal plates on them like armour. So… not sure :wink:

More overdue updates - just been working on the arm ‘acid’ gun. All hard edged in Maya. Got stuck for a work around for the rotation of the forearm. In the end I decided it should all come from the wrist. So the hand can rotate up and down, and the forearm can rotate with the help of the semi-circular construction that’s attached to the wrist. Just need to think of some costume ideas for her body. All C&Cs welcome as usual :slight_smile:
