Child spheres joined along the Z-axis ???? (answered)

I’ve attached an image of 3 zspheres. I think of the X-axis as the visible horizontal line delineating the red and black halves of the spheres; the Y axis as a vertical line; and the Z-axis as a line projecting straight out from the image. It appears to me that the three zspheres are aligned along their X-axis. However, I seem to recall that the line that joins child spheres is the Z-axis. Is there some sense in which they can be aligned along their X-axis but joined along their Z-axis? Can anyone explain that?

I’m not I understand what you mean? Can you describe it with a simple picture made in paint or something?

Your picture shows ZSpheres aligned along the global X axis. A single child ZSphere is joined to its parent along its local Z axis.

Thanks, Marcus. Now I see it.
