First place !! the winner of the Raf Grassetti contest 2021!!!
the story behind the work:
I grew up in a Catholic Christian college in a small province.
The school belongs to a Christian movement called sodalicio, who are the protagonists of the biggest scandal of sexual abuse in the Peruvian church, I want to emphasize that I have met sodalites who have been extraordinary people and have formed me as a better person and as a result of these scandals they left of the movement and most of them are married and with happy families.
this work is to criticize the people who committed these abuses, that even when I was a child they were named as impeccable and exemplary people and that currently these people some are with judgments but none in the jail and that they had to leave the country to seek legal protection, and this is just a small personal example of all types of church abuses throughout history

This is remarkable sculpting work and conceptually impressive. While the subject matter is intentionally disturbing, the victims’ faces worked into the design of the headpiece are a striking bit of detail.
