Charlton Heston

Hello,

This is a wip I made of Charlton Heston as Moses from a movie The Ten commandments.
He is off model but I am trying to make him look like the character, more to come.

Any comments are welcome and I hope you like it.

hi Garrick … The Ten Commandments is one of my favorite movies

I am not very advanced in anatomy to be honest but the body is very nice i like the torso …the chest area and the abs, but the back looks too much a bit specially the trapesius area, very nice deltoids and biceps i like how they are deforming, the hands looks interesting too, i’ll let others crit the head for you.

over all very nice wip, i am for sure one of the encouragement team  … keep the good work :+1:

Wow! nice. Good job on the anatomy. Can’t wait to see more of this.

Hey thanks nightwoodwolf and vincenzi.

I’m a big fan of his movie roles especially those epic 1950’s techno color ones.
Btw,I see what you mean by the traps being to bulky.
I have to focus more on evening out his muscle tone.
A little later I’m going to try and paint him to see how that looks.

Here’s a image with his cloths and staff, it’s touched up in Photoshop.

Thanks again,

Garrick.

Hey nice work. Im prety sure I saw this on another forum a while back, could be wrong. Im prety sure your a Modo user, havent got time to check, but nice work, and love whats going on with the anatomy.

Id like to see the mesh wire in more detail, where was it created?

Tez, Thank you for your kind words,

You right, I had posted this a wail back at the Luxology wip forums.
I had created the base mesh with uv’s in Modo 203, here’s an image of it.
Modo’s new uv tools are nice to work with.

Btw, this was a last minute entry for a modeling challenge at cgtalk…

Thanks,

Garrick.

Great to see Modo tools used with zbrush, Im in my early stages using Modo so will be looking forward to seing more of your work with these two applications combined.

One of the best I have seen in awhile for

a number of reasons.

Thank you.

thanks bicc39,

I’m thinking of rendering him in Modo to see if that add more to his skin tones.

Garrick,
