character optimization

Hello, i’m new here and with zbrush (only 4th day). I’ve done some tutorials, but still cant find perfect solution.

I want to optimize my character with Zremesher, but i want to do it separately for each subtool- body and head. So now i have two subtools which has different vertex count on boarder. How can i nicely and smoothly weld them together with some kind of transform strip like in this method:

This method would be nice, if i would know how to make it with already placed and almost matched subtools…

i already tried with polipaint/density in zremesher, but it doesn’t give me satisfying result.

i see that nobody has an idea.
Mayby you will tell me how do you manage to optimize with zremesher without destroying ears, or some other parts ?

One more very irritating thing is that the zremesher brush doesn’t take affect. It changes something only when curve weight is nearly 100 %. Is that can be the scale/unit problem ?
