Changing system

i need stronger pc , will this do ? to fully use zbrush , i thought about mac , but my partner would tear my head off if i bought another license hehe ,(she is a small woman but deadly) , and its a touch screen

HP Touchsmart AiO 300-1220 Desktop PC - WX103EA

looks good, im just not certain about graphic card will it be strong enough

ZBrush rendering is software based and does not depend on the graphics card.

See here for ZBrush system specs.

i cant go over 6th division when im subdividing model , my current pc have 2 gig of ram ddr2 ,and not brilliant processor , will that have anything to do ?

RAM is the most important thing if you want to sculpt multi-million polygon meshes in ZBrush. 4GB of RAM is a good amount on a 32 bit system - that will give 2GB for the OS and 2GB for ZBrush. To get the best out of ZBrush get a 64 bit system with say 6GB of RAM. That will allow ZBrush to use the full 4GB that it has available as a 32bit application.

A faster processor will mean that ZBrush is more responsive.

thank you ,now i know the specs i need , lets go hunting , last question diffrence between ddr2 and 3 , as 2’s are cheaper

DDR3 is twice as fast as DDR2. If your budget is tight then stick with DDR2 so that you can add to it later if you want.

ddr3 than , better to spent a bit more , than have to spend it twice , will the computer i posted in post above be good enough ?

That will run ZBrush perfectly OK. But if you don’t need the fancy TouchSmart stuff you might be better off getting a 64 bit system with a bit more RAM. Something like the Dell Inspiron 560 (with the extra £50 for more RAM).

yeah but i love having touch screen and beeing able to sculpt this way
