Change transparency of dialogue pop-up

I’m trying to have it so when I hover over a brush,… or,… when I press ctrl to get more info,… that the window that pops up does not show transparent.

I’m often having difficulty in seeing/reading what the information says because either the object or text beneath the pop up makes it obscure. (see attachment…I hope that explains it well enough)

I have great hopes that I will put into my memory all of the info I need and won’t ‘need’ the help call-outs in the future,… but they are still helpful to me.

So can someone please explain how to address this in the preferences interface? I get kind of lost in there and have not been able to find where this switch is.

**Off topic but,… is there ever going to be the ability to alter the brush images to not be grey tone ? It would sure be helpful to me to be able to colorize a dozen of them to make them easier to locate. (Yes,… i’ve been learning the hotkeys)

Thank you for your time

You can change the opacity of the pop-up by adjusting the Preferences>Icolors>Quick info Opacity slider. It’s about in the middle of the Icolors sub-palette (see attached pic). Be sure to store the configuration (Ctrl+Shift+i).

As for the Brush icons, I don’t know that there are plans to allow colors but I will pass on your suggestion.

(I was almost going to submit a ticket and title it “I’m dumb”,… but now I don’t need to)

I was elbows deep in the preferences looking for what to change until you pointed me to where I needed to be.

Thank you for the helpful screen shot to lead me.

And thank you also for reminding me to “store” the configuration.

Happily I can now see the call-outs with no difficulty !

Thank you very much for your time and help Marcus.
