Hi. I have questions abut chain mail. Never done it before.
Is nano mesh better or micro mesh for that?
My problem with nano mesh is it creates on bout sides of the mesh. I noticed that it dosent create on masked area. But, is there a way to mask back face automatically? When i’m on nano mesh brush. I turn on back face masking, but that dosent work. Here is how it looks, i think it would look better if it was on one side.
I found a solution. Mesh from which i tried to make chainmail was a shirt. It was thin, but problem was it was hollow. It had openings where the neck, the arms and the bottom is.
So i closed those holes by inserting cylinders, then dynamesh it, then zrmesh it. Then i masked out parts of mesh where holes for arms, neck and bottom go, and i got this:
Nice one sided chain mail which follow shape of the shirt.
Now i will only have to clean up those areas where chainmail is denser.
