Really cool model! Nice and clean lines.

I really like the idea of the figure coming out of the top of the head, it’s got some great symbolism… It’s like a man struggling with some dark part of himself, almost like some small voice in his head that’s driving him crazy, to the point of manifesting as a growth! haa, and the fact he’s holding his hands up to it, makes it look like a real nightmare to have to endure.

Two thumbs up. One for the model and the fine work there, and another for the whole master/slave symbolism of the piece.

Nice update … thanks. The muscles on the forearms look strange to me, but that might just be a trick of the shadow. Good luck.

Yes they are not perfect, this is not a trick of the light ! But noone is perfect in this world and it might be true in 3D and art…

WOW! :grimacing: :sunglasses: :+1: Awesome work, and also AWESOME concept! That detail in the muscles and so, in the modeling looks stunning! Are you gonna complete this within ZBrush (rendering and so…?)?

In every way: really interesting work! I can’t wait to see it finished!!! :sunglasses: (next week… I guezz… If you wanna get the deadline… :roll_eyes: :wink: )

Yes I’m gonna finish this project and render all with Zbrush…
I will probably add some details with the 2.5 tools, hair, and other stuff.
I don’t know what can I put in the background. Maybe some strange geometries…

Maybe just ‘empty’ ('color to white fade, and just some nice GI shadows on the ground plain, so that you get a ‘photostudio-look’? :slight_smile: ), would be more interesting than objects in the background?

And about the eyes: yeah, while doing some ZB-tests I also found out the eye was far to much self-illuminating (to high diffuse?)? Maybe you should try to pump that contrast away :wink: (in the eyes), or as last option you could try to do that ‘making-better-of-the-eyes’ in Photoshop or so?

By the way: it’s interesting that you & me have to hurry a bit, isn’t it? (I get a bad feeling if I’d see that éveryone had yet posted their finals :wink: )

Hey, that’s something I regonize… :o :lol: While I could better have been working on the actual models, I’ve been testing allot SSS stuff and so… Maybe I’ll not even really need that in this challenge…:rolleyes: :evil: :wink:

Eye whites aren’t really all that white. Lots of blood vessels and surface noise. Example below … the bottom one has no tex, and you can see the bumpiness. The plastic material is perfect for refelections.

The other thing is your pose … face on, it’s very difficult to make 3D eyes look real. Try with the master’s face slightly pointing away from the viewer, but with his eyes rotated to look our way. More dynamic, I think. Good luck!

I have problem to put differents materials and have a smooth clean transition between the different specs…:evil:

You cant have smotth transition between material, because is based on polugons, not pixols…
You can just use super small hplah, and try to make a gradient…

Yes, I managed to do what I want with the materials ! This is the servant’s head… Bad teeth, but we don’t see them very much in the final composition…
