Warm greetings from the CGOverdrive2007 committee in Singapore !

We are extremely excited to invite everyone here at ZbrushCentral to participate in the CG Excellence Award 2007 ,to be held in conjunction with CGOverdrive 2007, Singapore. CGOverdrive is an ongoing annual artist event which had the inaugural year last year. We had 12 esteemed speakers from various animation studios ranging from Pixar, Rhythm and hues, Bluesky, Robot Communications to Polygon Pictures coming down to speak at our conference. This year’s CGOverdrive2007, Square Enix will be holding the keynote speech. A strong list of very high profiled speakers will be coming down to CGOverdrive conference as well ! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Masterclass Sessions [16th – 19th June]

This year, CG Overdrive introduced two major competition segments, the Digital Art Work("War and Peace") and the Short Animation Film Segments. Each segment will comprise 2 categories, the Professional Category as well as the Student Category. Top winners for each category can expect to win attractive prizes. Moreover, if they are currently residing overseas, they will be flown to Singapore to attend the CG Excellence Award ceremony in Singapore! All winning entries can expect to receive a plaque and certificate signed by the panel of judges comprising renowned CG Artists. Submission Deadline: 6th May 2007 Call for Participation Brief CGOverdrive2007, that is to be held in Singapore, is an annual artist training conference. This event is the 2nd running since last year 2006. CGOverdrive will attract more than 3000 participants from all over the Asia-Pacific region this year, and one of the major activities of the festivities event is the showcasing of a series of industry works as well as students entries for the call for submissions. There are 2 categories, for both animations and digital artworks; Professional Category as well as student category. Award Category This award is open for both student category as well as professional category and there will be 5 nominated entries to be shortlisted. The top winner for each of this category will be awarded a certification , a CG Excellence plaque as well as a sponsored trip to Singapore together with a full conference access pass to CGOverdrive2007. Showcase of works There will be 2 types of showcasing of all the works. Firstly, during this conference, there will be a gallery section, where all selected digital artworks will be printed and hung . All selected digital animation works will also be screened on a big screen. Secondly, we will also be printing 3000 copies of A5 CGOverdrive booklet, showcasing the various hardware/software vendors on the booklet as well as all nominated art entries. This booklet will be freely distributed to all participants for this event and as such, exposure will be immense.
