Centigor

OK! I admit it, im a computer game addict
All games are being uninstalled before friday. No, partys, no friends, no woman this weekend! only zbrush!!!

PS, thanks schiefer

Hey Zbrushers,

Finaly an update!

Since last time, I have played around with the proportions. He has gotten a larger head, longer neck, raised the arms, gave the arms a little more lenght, changed the belt a little, changed the torso anatomy, removed the armor on his arm.

Im still playing around with his accessories. I might add some more!

Anyways, its great to be back with this project again! take a look, and tell me what you think

i’ve enjoyed watching this project progress, it’s looking pretty good. who can’t like a minotaur/ centaur mix? anyway, i think i actually prefer the body/ pose before the change

Fantastic job! :+1:

dpeteuil:

Hi  What I want to change on the torso is his stomach. I want it to curve out some more. Right now it looks like he is holding hes breath hehe  So thats gonna change for the next update.

Thanks, glad you like it

Hey guys,

Made a small update on his accessories, and also changed the transition between him and the horse. Think it works better

the four-legged body is anatomically beautiful. great job. the upper half is less impressive but nonetheless a good one.

This is totally awesome. I love it.

:+1: 5 stars.

Amazing, impressive and awesome I’d say!
Top row and 5 stars! :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

GX@W: Thanks for commenting, glad you like. Hopefully I will get some time in the following months to get some time on detailing this guy. My machine is just sooo slow, so that means that I need to use HD sculpting. But as far as i know and have tested, you loose ALL of your HD sculpting if you make a typology change, and that means that I have to be really sure that the model is “done” and that gives me the jitters, because I really need to be able to change the typo later on when my friend Rasmus is going to rig him. It would be good to have that option anyways  If any of you guys have a soulution for this please write me

EricShawn: AWESOME! hehe

asecbrush: hehe thanks for the thumbs up. wee

This weekend I was changing the length and volume of his canines, during that I made a couple of blendshapes, one for opening the mouth, one for the gums and teeth to follow, and one for an angry facial expression. He looked rather nasty, cant wait to make blenshapes for this guy. I will post a bunch of different expressions when i come to that

hey jimmy!

very nice update, dude. i especially like what you did with the torso.
the new belt looks cool too.

looking forward to see the rigged version.

Hey Rasmus,

Thanks, I wish I had more time for this one, but at least Im working on a freelance job that includes lots of zbrushing on a creature

Hope to get this going… ALOT! after the job.

Hi fellow zbrushers,

Its been a while since i’ve posted anything. It has been a busy year so far. With lots of work. But I have at last gotten my new showreel together!
For those of you who are interested, you can see some turnarounds of the Centigor in the reel.
Hope to get some sculpt time on the beast very soon.

Jimmy

Hey Jimmy! It is looking great man!
I only have one suggestion, why not put the centigor earlier in the reel, to me its seems like your strongest model, so personally I’d like to see it earlier in the reel, again looks great man

Hi Storm,

I thought about doing that, but the thing is that the various studious will prefer different things at the start of a reel. Some would like to see the newest thing you have been working on, and perhaps work experience only, and others would like to see the most relevant compared to what they are doing. It would make sence to put the “toony” stuff on the reel first if you are applying for a job at lets say pixar for instance, but if you are applying at weta digital, then I would say, you should put the creature stuff before the toony.
The way I have gone about it for this version, is to make an “intro” image so the viewer has a sence of what the content of the reel is, and by doing that, Im hoping that it doesnt mean that much if the start of the reel is toony or creature. But I might just have to make two different versions.
Im glad you like it Storm, and thanks for the feedback

Makes sense
Can’t wait to see what you got in store for us next.

Cool reel!

interesting piece.

Storm / haha, me neither :stuck_out_tongue:

Pointpusher / glad you like

3dMob / hope its in a good way hehe

Ok, finally I have the time to work on this guy again.

I have changed the topology, and begun detailing the face. This is the first time i am detailing a face, so any feedback would be most welcomed
