Centerline Issue in 3.5R2

There is a centerline issue in 3.5 and 3.5R2

The image below shows one stroke (symmetry on) over the x centerline of the model
with different brushes. Some brushes produce a gap others build up.
I test it with different models, all have the same issue.

Also I would like to say that the Flatten brush in the version 3.5R2
are still not the same as in 3.1. He is not neutral but rather build slightly
up (brush modifier 0)

Yeah, I’ve definitely seen the same thing and have found it a bit sub-optimal.

Me three.

Had the same problem last night when I first tried 3.5. Make me four.

Only just loaded 3.5(r2), so I checked this…

Yep. It’s not so obvious with the standard brush, but nasty with others
(like clay).

I’ve only quickly tried ‘Flatten’, but it’s clearly not the version we know and
love

G.

nothing from support about this?

I still have the bug:D

We hatesss it. It Burnnnnssss ussss.

Can anyone say, ZB 3.5 R3? Sure you can . . .

Hello Ralph

Thank you for the great image. Just so you know, the elevation of brushes like clay, flatten are now controlled by the Imbed slider in the Depth menu of Brush palette.

Paul

gabo, how is this related to that? and if it is, what is the fix?

Would also like to know the answer to this.

Got the same problem.

Ralph

I was not referring to the centerline issue. That is being resolved. I was referring to you speaking about “Also I would like to say that the Flatten brush in the version 3.5R2 are still not the same as in 3.1. He is not neutral but rather build slightly up (brush modifier 0)”

I wanted to let you know that the Imbed feature now controls elevation of the flatten, clay, clay tubes, etc brushes now. The brush mod does not control the elevation now.

Paul

What does resolved mean? Will there be a 3.5R3? Or is this done until 4 comes out?

Hey cool down a bit boys. Paul told that it will be fixed. I don’t think that we can’t work with it, I know it’s inconvenient to deal with. But patience, the guys are surely working on it (imagine a politician smile here)

SO WHEN THIS ISSUE WILL BE FIXED!!!

for me it only happens when symmetry is on and even then its not a big deal to just go over it and clean it up.

He is not neutral but rather build slightly
up (brush modifier 0)

Hello Ralph

Thank you for the great image. Just so you know, the elevation of brushes like clay, flatten are now controlled by the Imbed slider in the Depth menu of Brush palette.

With Embed slider set to 0(neutral) there is still a slightly build up.

still seeing this in R3 but its slighter now.

Hello

We are taking care of this. For now with Symmetry on start the sculpt from the inside out and there will be no line or just smooth it out with the new smart smooth when you hold shift down and then let go of shift that will activate the new smooth.
