Hahahaha! Love it, he looks a little paranoid too. Maybe make him slightly more vibrant colored? Coloring wise he has less color than lions generally do. More yellowish too.

I agree with womball about the colour. although i would make the colour scheme more exaggerated (brighter yellows/oranges… than normal). It would go with the out of proportion look…
