allaze-eroler: Thanks! I have yet to master the art of perfect normal bakes. Still getting some artifacts here and there. I plan on making an animated turntable of all my resent models when im done with my portfolio. So keep an eye out for that

SolidSnakexxx: Thank you very much!

School application work 3

Just finished this more cartoony character. I’m a big fan of this style so i thought i’d give it a go. Definitely more challenging then i first thought starting out and there are lots of things i could improve. But i dont’t have time to work on him anymore right now. Hope you guys like it.

Looks really nice buddy, but I think a 4k map is unnecessary for an accessory (his spear), as it’s not a big object in the scene.I think you can get the result even with a 1k map.but as I said it’s just my opinion.anyway keep up the good work.goodluck;)

Thanks Diablo. you’re absolutely right ofcourse. Didn’t even think about that when i baked the maps. I’ll be sure to change it for when i send out my applications. All the best.

Great job on the kid, love the design. I’d darken his boots just a bit to get a better read.

Less fan of the wolf though, he seems to have a few anatomy issues (front legs notably).

Thank you! Yes i have got a few remarks on the wolf from other people aswell. And i agree with all of them, so I’ll work on him some more soon.

Sculpting assignment for Playground Squad. About a day and a half’s work.

Thanks for watching.

I used Zbrush, 3Ds max and marmoset toolbag 2.

Hey buddy, long time no see. How you doing???;) really like her face but there are a few things bothering me: 1) that orange spot on her neck. I don’t know what that is. 2) looks like there’s an UV seem right on front of her face.you can see that on the wireframe picture.(or maybe I’m wrong). 3) that’s quite a high poly model. Although I’m not sure you were aiming for a cinematic character.anyway keep up the good work. ;);)

Hey man! I’m good. Started 3D graphics school a couple of weeks ago  Did not see that orange thing on my school monitor. Must be calibrated wrong or something. Oh well…Yea there is a seam along the front of the face. Did not bother too much with UVs and such as this was only a quick assignment that focused on making an illustration and nothing more. And that’s why it’s so high poly also. Not meant to be a game mesh :)Thank’s for your input though Diablo. I always appreciate it

Rendered out a sculpt i did during the holiday time off. Tried out FlippedNormals lighting scenes for this one and i’m really happy with the result. Props to those guys!

I checked back on your first page from 2013. Remarkable progress from that first post. This is a really good piece.
Elves usually are given much smoother skin so its cool to see a more natural treatment.

Thanks man! Yea, it helps to look back sometimes to see how far you’ve come. Glad you like it
