capping off a tube with thickness

I have this sleeve I built for my character (using extract I think) and now it’s time to re-top it but since it’s placed around an arm I have no need for the inner part of the tube-like mesh. ie. this is not a simple polygon cylinder, it has thickness.

What would be a good and fast workflow to cap off either side so that it is a poly cylinder? I tried taking it into Maya but due to my sculpting fabric wrinkles, there are no valid edge loops to separate.

Thanks.

if you extracted the mesh it should have a differernt polygroup for the inside, edge, and outside. Delete the inner polygroup and then you can either cap the mesh or dynamesh to quickly close the hole.

I no longer had the polygroup, probably because I regrouped at some point. But I was able to get it back by selecting everything but the ends, grouped, hid the excess and autogrouped. Then did what you said, worked great.
