I have just been tweaking the gradient settings on the canvas and noticed it really flickers now the rest of the UI is fine just the canvas flickers. Is this a normal behavior or something that can be fixed it is really distracting.

I have just set the gradient rate to 0 for now I have no gradient but at least it has removed the flickering so I can work. I would still be interested to know if there is a solution as I would still like to have a bit of gradient in the background if possible.
It could be a problem with your video card, drivers, or even your monitor. I had a similar issue once but it ended up being a bad monitor.
I have no issues with anything else though I have tried reinstalling my drivers but it made no difference I will just keep the gradient off on the canvas background it is not that big of a deal
