Cant turn off "texture transparency"

Hi All
I’m trying to use some simple jpgs in spotlight and they have some heavy blacks in them. When they come in, it seems that “texture transparency” is on by default, which results in all hard backs appearing transparent. I don’t want this, but it won’t let me click OFF “texture transparecy” in the texture menu. I can turn off spotlight, then click off transparency, then add it to spolight again and it turns tt back on again!!! so frustrating.

Can anyone please advise what I might be doing wrong? I just want black blacks!

cheers

adjust your levels on your image to make your blacks 1,1,1 instead of 0,0,0 and you’ll be fine.

Beta is right, adjust and then paint. Once you export the texture map, you can adjust the blacks again if you want to. It’s one of those ZBrush things we sometimes have to work around.

You can use the Contrast on the Spotlight wheel to adjust so the black isn’t 0,0,0.
