I appended the last item in the sub tool list but cant see it anywhere on screen. If I select it in the list and press “f” it shows up, and then I can’t see the other items. can I “show all”?

Seems like that Subtool is either very big or very small. So just scale it to size and there you go.

i guess there’s no way to tell if it’s to big or small.
is there any way to make it fit the window?
hmmm not really, besides trial and error. I would hit “f” on that subtool and then “e” for scale, place the action line and then scale it up, because normally this happens when your tool is too small. Or you just zoom slowly out until you see the other subtools. Or you could export 2 subtools out to match the size in another package. Or you could switch on the floor grid to at least have an idea of where you tool is floating around in Z-space

as it turns out the shoe object i appended was of gigantic proportions and sitting far away from my main model. this was a shoe object from poser. can the poser scaler plugin help with this problem?
