Can't move the retopo-vertices [Solved]

Hi guys,

the title defines my problem. I can only move the last few points of the retopology. The other points are fixed (or so) and i can’t move them. The retopo shows clean and there no problems. I’m working wit the 4R4 P2.
The green vertices shows this one, that i can move. The red dots are fixed and can’t be move. The red dots I placed first.

Hope, you can understand my fantastic english

Yes, the retopo-brush is an option, but i think, its very complex to do this with the retopo-brush.

An idea to solve this problem?

Best regards

I think if you just turn Topology>Edit Topology off and then on again it should fix that.

Hi Marcus,

i tried it, but unfortunately it does not help. Even a reboot does not bring change.
Is there maybe something in the basic settings for the possible number of points to be manipulated to be defined?

Right now I move the points right after I set it. This is a bit awkward.

Thank you for your answer, Marcus

There’s no setting that I know of. A couple of more things to try:

  1. Press Tool>Masking>Clear, just in case those points have become masked. (Worth a try.)

  2. Try zooming in closer to those points to see if that makes a difference. Also adjusting your Draw Size may have an effect.

as far as i know, the use of the retopo brush is less complex than the use of the zsphere-retopo-workflow;

i did use topogun for my last retopo (for some reason i had thought that the retopo brush wouldn´t allow triangles), but i will test the retopo brush asap for it seems to work quite well

YES! The “clear mask”-function solves the problem. And now i understand whats

Thank you Marcus!

Now I understand the trigger (can i call it trigger?) of the problem. I “mask all” with one click and all the newly set points were unmasked. So I could move the newly set points.

@ MichaelMaehring I will still try out the Retopo-brush. in my experiments, it was me too imprecise, since a shift of the vertices is not possible.

ok, i understand; for retopo moving vertices is very useful, so let´s hope for the next update

jovomo,

Great, I’m glad that’s solved. And yes, ‘trigger’ is perfectly OK.
