Cant map textures in Zbrush 3.12 (Noobie)

Is anyone else having problems using textures in 3.12?
Im a noobie so bear with me, this is what ove been doing so far with out success

  • reinitialize zbrush.
  • load the imageplane x tool
  • activate the double button
  • draw the tool on the canvas
  • set the material to fast shader and the colour to white
  • import texture imageplanex.psd

Nothing happens, or nothing seems to happen to my tool. I cant get the texture to map to the tool.

Im positive its me - im trying to work my way through some tutorials but this sems to have stumped me for the moment.
Any suggestions on what im not doing correctly would be greatly apprciated.

Textures in 3.12 are applied on a per-SubTool basis. So it’s not enough to just load it into the Texture palette. Check out the submenu for Texture within the Tool palette. You should find what you need to apply the texture to the selected SubTool. :slight_smile:
