can't load ztool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please help me, i’m getting this error everytime i tried to load my ztool into zbrush. ERROR WHILE READING HIGHDEF DATA OBJECT.

INTERNAL ERROR. \MASH3DDXF.CPP LINE 11912.

CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE.

Sorry to say but I believe that .Ztl is gone for good. I’ve gotten that error a few times(while using SubTool master) and every time I get it my Ztl is about a third of the size it should be and I’ve lost all of my work. I suggest saving often and backing up the saved work to a duplicate directory and then burning to DVD. I do this religiously and it saves my work.

thanks jaystein777. thank God i have an earlier version i saved on ma ex drive but i have lost almost 2 week work, it’s very depressing and now i will have to save every-time into a duplicate directory as u have suggested.

I usually save after every major development, and I frequently save in iterations by numbering my files in succession, ie. xxxx_12, xxxx_13.

Also I tend not to save when the ZTL is in it’s highest subdiv-level, I usually divide up as far as it can go and the save at level 3 or 4. Same with any subtools that may be attached.

The reason for the lower subdiv save is because the “high def” error usually happens after a “memory-limit” save error.

I try to save a version off every hour. You may send your ZTL to tech support and they can try to recover it, but it doesn’t look good ATM.
