Cant install Legit 3.1 or even demo...?

Hey all…

Listen I have owned Zbrush since 2.0…

I have never had this problem…

In any install version of Zbrush I get a Windows Exception report…

I had a puter fry and had to rebuild what I had and now I keep getting an ERROR…

I have Java installed and 2005 runtime from windows…

Fresh install of XP…

Even the demo is giving me this error…

Just cant figure it out…

I have an AMD dual 3800
3 gigs of 800mhz ddr…
Nvidea 9500 1 gig Card…
WinXP pack 3
80 gig hd
500 gig backup

This blows my mind…

Maybe I have to start at the first Disc aka 2.0 and work up from there…?

Betatesting too may proggies to worry about this But I need for a “shotgun Mod” that me an a friend are working on for DOD…

On nooooo…

I wonder if it might be a DirextX version issue…?

My card has DirectX 10 Capabilities…

Bought a Game engine and had to upgrade to DX10…Hence the new Video card…But my install of DX say 9.0c…?

It’s not the graphics card. Don’t mess with 2.0 because it’s no longer supported for the PC. Just install the trial, which can then be activated with your ZBrush 3 serial number. The most likely cause of the error that you’re getting is that you probably don’t have the right version of Windows Installer on your computer. You need at least version 3.1. You can get the most current version from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=5a58b56f-60b6-4412-95b9-54d056d6f9f4&displaylang=en
