Can't get 4096 out of Zbrush

Hey guys,

I’m having trouble saving my polypainting out at a 4096x4096. I set it under the Texture menu to 4096x4096 then when I hit the New From Polypaint button it gives me a 2048x2048 map instead. It also resets the resolution back to 2048x2048 in the Texture menu.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really hope I’m just overlooking something and the limit isn’t 2048. That would be incredibly lame.

I assume you’re using zbrush 3.5. Set the size of you texture output in the Tool / UV Map palette.

I have tried this, setting the texture size, but I still get a 1024 everytime I hit “New from Polypaint”. I have created a new texture that is 2048, a solid color, applied it to the model, it also shows up in the Texture Map rollout on the Tool menu… but still I get a 1024 every time.

What am I missing?

Ah I read closer, that usually helps.
