hello all, sorry but i have a rather stupid question, i saved a document i was working on and forgot to save the tool along with it, now when i open the document the project i was working on is there but it is uneditable is there anything that i can do to resume work on this project or is it just as it sits and thats it? thanks in advance
The Document format is 2.5D. The back surfaces of what you were working (what wasn’t visible to the camera when you saved) no longer exists.
Depending on the angle that it was at when you saved, you may be able to at least partially recover what was lost through alpha skinning. Use Alpha>Grab Doc to capture the depth data from the canvas. Then use Alpha>Make 3D to convert that alpha into a 3D object. Of course, this will only work if the model was square with the canvas when you saved, and the resulting mesh will be a unified skin.
In future, always save your models using Tool>Save Tool rather than Document>Save As. Use the Document option only if you’re saving a picture.
