Cant drag window - Please assist.

Here is my issue -

1 -I draw a sphere on the screen.

2 - I enter EDIT mode and make it a polymesh.

3 - I go down to SURFACE > NOISE

4 - I click EDIT to edit the noise.

5 - Now the problem. The edit window for applying surface noise cannot be moved around at all. The top bar of the window which is natively used for dragging a window is out of my view and I cannot even see it to grab it with the cursor to drag it down. The reason this is a big problem is because the top of the window is getting cut off, so I can not able to access 2-3 options to modifying the noise on my model. :roll_eyes:small_orange_diamond:confused:

What can I do about this? Anything? I already tried reinstalling and that does not work. The window is still in the same place when I start zBrush - Please assist.

If you need a screenshot of the problem, just ask I will post one. Thanks for any help.

I don’t believe that window can be moved around or resized. At least it can’t on my installation.

Are you running the most up to date version of Zbrush? (Zb4r6 p2)?

Are you running the minimum required monitor resolution for Zbrush (1280x1024)?

If the answer to the above is yes, then try resting the config. Go to Preferences> Initialize Zbrush. Then Preferences> Config> Restore Standard UI. Also hit the “default Zscript” button on the top right edge of the interface for good measure.

Thanks for the post. I am running 4r6 p2 and I meet the req for resolution. I also tried clicking default zscript and initialize, and I already uninstalled once and reinstalled (like I said in prev post).

However, the window is still cutting off 2 options at the top. One of them is the noise scale. I know this because I watched a Digital Tutors video where the teacher used the surface>noise command and his window was floating and he could move it too…I saw the 2 options that are getting cut off on my version, thats how I know they are there…Anyway, this is a bit frustrating. I actually found myself trying to sculpt like zBrush in Maya…It’s not the same…

Is there a remedy for this? Anyone else have this issue? What should I do? Not use noise?

Solution anyone?

Wanted to add -

No other part of zBrush is getting cut off. Its only the surface>noise>edit window. It would be extremely tedious to apply the noise I need to my model, manually… :o

Try to click on the Surface button with it lower in the scrolling pane and see if that helps.
