Can't divide model after using Zremesher?

Hi After roughing out my idea I thought I use Zremesher to then subdivide and project back the detail. After Zremeshing my model the divide under geometry does not work. I tried with various models. Dynamesh rough, then uncheck Dynamesh and Zremesh. Any ideas?

My guess is you have hidden geo.

But showing your steps, process, UI, etc would help in breaking down your problem most likely

I tried with various models.

Are you saying you can’t subdivide any mesh in the program after performing a Zremesh, or just the one?

I tried with a sphere and had the same issue. I have to make Polymesh 3d and then append it in order to divide. I was so sure this step wasn’t needed before?

Is the Tool> geometry > “divide” button greyed out, or does it simply not increase in subD level when you press it? Have you completely exited and restarted the program?

I second the call for a full screen interface screenshot that shows your program version in the top left corner, and the Tool> Geometry menu open for a mesh you can’t subdivde.

Ok Here is a screenshot

Looks like you didn’t convert your zspheres to a polymesh/adaptive skin before using dynamesh or zremesher. Hitting ‘A’ only acts as a preview and shouldn’t be sculpted on until you first convert it.

Thank Looks like you were right. When I go back to Adaptive skin it is on Preview…

You might be able to use this, be sure to adhere to instructions and save any of the excess tools in case you want them later.>> http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?176896-How-to-clean-the-excess-3D-Meshes-in-the-tool-palette-Answered&p=1011378&viewfull=1#post1011378

Conks head

The word “Zspheres” used in the OP would have saved a lot of confusion.
